Is Pregnancy Possible While On Triphasil?

Good morning doctor. I m 40yrs old and using the Triphasil pill for 3yrs now. I then forgot to take my pill on sat the 9th(was the beginning of the red cycle, that s the red pill) and the same night i had unprotected sex, then only remembered in the morning sun the 10th, i immediately took the one i skipped @ 8am and again the next one on the usual time that is @ 10am. Am i at the risk of falling pregnant or not, or do i need the morning aftr still? Please advise. THANK YOU.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is less likely that you can get pregnant as after takin this long, therapeutic levels are enough to cause hormonal imbalance to avoid implementation,

Also delay before taking it again wasn't significant but shouldn't be habitually missed,

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
