Is Pregnancy Possible While On Birth Control Pills?

Ok, so i ve had sex recently. I was on birth control at the time but he didn t use a condom. I was really sore afterwards, but i didn t really think anything of it... the sex was kinda hard. Anyways, now I have weird pink discharge. I had a pregnancy scare one, and read online about early signs of pregnancy. They said that you could have spotting... I don t know if that is what this is or not... I just need to know what it could mean...

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
Birth control pills are very effective in preventing pregnancy especially when taken correctly. However, efficiency though very high is not 100%. It could be pregnancy or not.I will suggest you take a pregnancy test.If negative, other causes of such discharges will have to be investigated by your Doctor.Other possible causes may include bacteria vaginosis or STI.Your Doctor may request for a vaginal swap smear test.
Hope this will help
Best regards
