Is Pressured Feeling, Piercing Pain Around Stomach With Losing Mucous Plug Without Broken Water Normal In 37 Weeks?

I am 37 weeks pregnant last week at 36 weeks my ob said I was measuring 39 weeks. For the past two weeks I have been losing what I believe is my mucous plug little by little. I have had many Braxton hicks and true contraction. I feel a lot of pressure and stretching really down low. Recently I have been noticing sharp needle like piercing sensation around my abdomin. I was told as log as my water doesn t break or I don t have right red blood that there is nothing to worry about. I guess I m looking for a second opinion
