Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

I think you are mentioning about ' cervical Insufficiency Or Incompetance' as Cervical Deficiency.

In early pregnancy, progesterone is usually given and it helps to maintain a supportive environment for the developing fetus and also it prevent any miscarriages. Eventually, when the placenta is more fully developed, it can produce its own supply of hormones, including progesterone, to support the rest of the pregnancy.

As you have mentioned that you have Cervical incompetence, Risk of miscarriage as well premature labor is high for you.
As you think of you need Cerclage, but not now.
It is usually recommended in 13 to 16 weeks of pregnancy.
That is why your doctor recommended to take progesterone till 13 weeks.
Probably she planned to do Cerclage after 13 weeks.
Till now you need just monitoring of Cervical length and other features by regular Trans vaginal Ultrasound.

Drink plenty of water.
Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Take Iron and folic acid tablets as recommended by your treating doctor.
Properly get vaccinated with Tetanus Toxoid.
Have regular check up and review with your doctor.

Hope this helps.
Please write back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
