Is Prolonged Bleeding With Huge Clot Normal After An Abortion?

hey i had an abortion 4 years ago now, but i worry about when i did have the abortion i bleed really heavy for about two months after the abortion, then one day something came out of me in the btah about two and a half inches long and then the bleeding stopped is this normal?
