Is Prolonged Intake Of Trapic Safe For Heavy Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi doctor. This is thara,my question is last Dec I have done last r having health chk up there n I had a gtt of about 149, but then I checd agin after three months it shows below 120 stil I have nt to chk it again or not? My second question is after my second delivery I had a heavy bleeding then my doctor suggested me a Trapic MF tablet but if problem persists she asks me to visit again but I hve not stil.met her contunuing the same tablet is it safe for r not please suggewt

Thanks for asking. I understand your query.
1. If you have family history get the test done yearly / if the GTT after 1.5 hours test was 149... I would suggest GTT yearly for few years, till it's -ve for consecutive 3 years.,
2. Trapic MF is used for short time to control/ prevent means that the bleeding is due to cut or injury( which breaks the blood vessels ( cut wound/ extraction of tooth ).
If the vaginal bleeding does not stop with Trapic MF.... means the bleeding is not just flowing out from endometrial blood vessels ... it's because of more specific causes like, hormonal imbalance/ incomplete abortion.
Here trapic MF does not help. specific hormones / medications are needed to control such bleeding.
* So in my view TRapic MF prolonged use is not only useless.. but may have side effects like nausea, vomiting, gastritis .You should consult a gynecologist, get examined/ investigated & start with specific drug to control your bleeding.
