Is Prolonged Use Of Budamate Transhaler Advisable?
hi, i m suffering from asthma for the past 6 years. Now i m 24 yrs old and i m using budamate 100 transhaler for the past 3 years. Can i use this inhaler for prolonged use?also i would like to know the side effects of this inhaler. How can i reduce the symptoms?waiting for your advice. Thankyou !!!
Hello and welcome to HCM, Budamate is a steroid preparation and its long term use is associated with certain side effects. Treatment of asthma depends on the frequency and severity of symptoms. Steroids are usually prescribed when symptoms are persistent and are of moderate to severe in intensity. However, the steroids are interspersed with other group of drugs also based on regular follow up and assessment of symptoms. Thus, I suggest you to consult your treating doctor for clinical assessment and assessment of your medication also.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
