Is Putting Fucidin Near Eyes Safe For Children?

Hi, My 10 month old son has just been prescribed Fucidin for an impetigo sore on his head. This morning it looks like another small sore has started in the very corner of his eye. Is it safe to put a small amount of Fucidin in this area?
