Is Raised, Purplish Bump Off Center Of Tongue Concerning?

I have a purplish lump just off center on my tongue it has been there for over 10 yrs and it has become more raised over the past year. Shoul I be concerned? I am a 27yr old female and the spot first appeared as a teenager after I was diagnosed with mapping on my tongue at age 13. When the mapping went away the spot showed up. (I have had my tongue pierced for 6 yrs now too)

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The purplish bump over the tongue can be a arterovenous malformation or a fibrosed hematoma which occurs secondary to trauma like tongue piercing. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. You might have have to get a MRI done to confirm the diagnosis. It is harm less. Keep an eye on the lesion, if it increases in size, it has to be treated immediately.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
