Is Rashes On Penis Sign Of HIV?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... i had sex with a women when i was in travel using a condom.i dont know if she was infected by hiv.i had a rash on the left portion near the bolls this rash had occured due to long walking using tight underwear.is there any possibility that hiv could have been transfered through these rashes outside the penis.i used a condom.

Welcome to HCM.

Most unlikely that you are infected with HIV as you have used a barrier. There is a possibility of HIV entering the body through small abrasions in the mucous membrane of genitalia during intercourse, but as your rash is outside near the groin, less likely chance of any direct contact. However, you can get in touch with a skin doctor and get appropriate therapy for the rash on your groin.
