Is Recurrence Of Nocturnal Seizures Possible While On Keppra?

I have been takiing levetiracetam tab 500m ER tablet, 2at bedtme, its expensive, $141.00 for 3 month supply with insurance. I aked my Neuro doctor today about a 500MG regular tablet, with I think the script is for Keppra 500mg. I have nocturnil seizurs sometimes, non for last 3 months. Is this going to be a problem now with this generic medicine which is only $26 for 3 month. Im confused.Jan

Hi,

Keppra and generic Levatiracetam will have same efficacy in controlling seizures. Branded drug might have some differences in release but overall efficacy will be same. No need to get worried.
