Is Recurring Fever In A Child Related To Elevated Mantoux Test Result?
My daughter has taken treatment for tb (9 months course) prescribed by a child spcl. Doct. In her 3year old age now she is 7 year old. She was suffering from fewer 3times in a month so doct. advised me to test mantous and chest xray .xray is normal but mantous test measure more than 20mm. I am so confuse please help me doct and guide me.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, as long as the old history of tuberculosis is concern Mauntox test is not the diagnostic criteria and it could be positive in such case even it could be positive in immune-compromised patient, here the reason of fever could be something else, chances of Tubercular infection is less likely, ask for second opinion hope this information helps.
