Is Red Discharge From The Eyes And Nose A Matter Of Concern?

O have a style and sinus infection, with a book inside my nose. I am currently taking antibiotics for it. I just noticed I was getting a pink, almost reddish discharge from both my eye and nose. Is this something I should be concerned about? It is not a heavy discharge, but when I wipe the area with a tissue, it comes back spotted.

Hi,

Red colour discharge may be due to eye or nose drops or infection that leads to hyperemia or food contain high coloring effects to secretions (beetroot). It may be due to sinusitis with polyps etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid cool'drinks and freeze water.

Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
