Is Reduction Of Lipitor Dosage Safe?

I am 69 and have taken 10 mg Lipitor for 16 years... Total chol stared at about 200 back in 2000. It has mostly declined each 6 month test with very few slight elevations. My Total chol now reads 125.... With good chol hgh and bad chol very low. Is it reasonable to consider reducing the daily dosage to 5 mg or continue to 10 mg every other day......... With doctor consultation?

Hello
Were I your doctor, at this point I would discontinue the Lipitor now and recheck the numbers in three months. There would be no health danger, and if your numbers went back up, I'd put you on 5 mg at that point
I find this answer helpful
