Is Removal Of Inflamed Tonsils Recommended While Having Persistent Pain?

I wanna know if I should get my tonsoles removed. I had a fever yesterday, it hurts super super bad when I swallow, I get this about every other week, & I have had this for 5 days now. I was just at the doctor & did not ask about my tonsoles but they confirmed I did not have strep.

Hello,

Yes, you can. If you have persistent pain. Recurrent tonsil infections, repeated a sore throat, infection then you can remove tonsil after consultation. Kindly follow with detailed history or consult with ENT surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale
