Is Removal Of Screw From A Patellar Fracture Advisable?
Hello, is it better to remove a screw from a patellar fracture? I also had a shredded quadriceps tendon repair where they put a hole on each side of the knee to hold down the quad. I am contemplating removal of the screw, but I am unsure of the pros/cons.

It is better to remove the screw to prevent further complication like persistent pain.
Some implants can be permanent and need not be removed. Consult your orthopedic and he will direct you accordingly.
