Is Removing Of Ventilator Safe For A Person With Cerebellar Hemorrhagic Stroke?
Hello my mom had a cerebellar hemorrhagic stroke a week and a half ago she is in a coma state as of now. she does move her arms and legs and sometime open her eyes (not too often on the eyes) the Dr wants to take her off the ventilator and remove it and let her try to breathe on her own they also mention something about doing a trig. what do you think the out come will be on if we do them?
Slowly taking her off the ventilator is to see her spontaneous level of consciousness. Don't worry, it is safe to try. She might wake up, to some extent.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
