Is Renal Failure Curable ?
Sir, my uncle is 57 years old and he is suffering from kidney functional disorder , our consultant said it is complete renal faliure and anca also affect the kidnies. There is no symtomps of swelling and deshaping of kidnies. Please guide us about the treatment, is it cureable. Thanks.

Renal failure is invariably a chronic disease and requires regular treatment. Depending on the extent of renal damage and other findings, your doctor will tell you the cause of renal failure . A number of treatment options are there. If you are in Vellure, CMC vellure will be best option.

As per information provided by you - your uncle has renal failure requiring dialysis, kidneys appear normal on ultrasound and his ANCA is positive. He might benefit by doing a kidney biopsy as it will give the answer to the severity of damage and whether it is reversible. If it is reversible then the treatment has to be started within days or the damage may become permanent. Please consult a Nephrologist at the earliest, as with delay it may become irreversible.
