Is Restraining From Caffeine, Carbonated Drinks And Spicy Food A Must While Getting Anti-rabies Vaccinations?

Hello. I’m in China and was licked by a stray dog. I’ve started a course of vaccinations and have been advised by the nurse to not consume alcohol, caffeine, carbonated drinks and spicy food. I can understand that alcohol shouldn’t be consumed but the others don’t make any sense. I’m wondering if it’s just based on old wive’s tales. Can you offer any advice on this?
