Is Rice-eating Harmfull To Diabetic Patients ?

Is rice-eating harm full to diabetic patients? If no, to what extent(quantity) it can be taken.? How much white rice can be taken? I mean, full diet - twice a day or once a day or partly. I shall be grateful for guidance. regards.

Rice has the same amount of calories compared to wheat or ragi. But one negative thing about rice is that we use polished variant which does not have enough fiber content in it. Hence even if you take rice, I would suggest you to take Red Raw Rice as it has the essential fiber content in it. Whataver cereal you take, try to limit the quantity of intake as well.

Rice is rich in carbohydrates and less in fibre. You can take limited quantity.

Brown rice, which is rice from which only husk has been removed, is the most nutritious type of rice. However people prefer to eat white rice.

Rice is easily digestible and absorbed by body easily. So it gives good caloric value.
