Is Right Axis Deviation Of The Heart A Concerning Matter In An Adolescent?
My son is 16 years old and has been having chest pain for almost a year. He s had two ekg s in the past year and the second one came back abnormal. His Pcp told me the he has a right axis deviation. He told me that his right side of his heart is working harder then it should be. I scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist for tomorrow at 2:30. Should I be concerned about this.

Is your son having symptoms? As right axis deviation should be assessed by proper history, chest x-ray, and Echocardiography.
If there are symptoms as breathlessness, then it is a matter of concern otherwise be relaxed. After Echo and chest x-ray, your cardiologist will explain everything.
