Is Right-sided Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Body Associated With Heart Disease?

I am a 54 year old female with an extensive cardiovascular history and I also have periferal artery disease. Last week I had an episode where my right side went numb and tingly. I went to the ER and was checked out CT scan, MRI and they found no evidence of a stroke although the neurologist who saw me said that he believed that I had had a small stroke. I have been having these same symptoms off and on this week although these only last for a few minutes. whereas the first one lasted for over 2 hours. Any idea what may be causing this?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No, I don't think your symptoms are associated with heart diseases.
No need to worry for other major illnesses as your CT and MRI are normal.
Possibility of vitamin B 12 deficiency is more.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause hypersensitive nerves and this can cause tingling and numbness.
So get done vitamin b 12 level and if Deficiency than you will need supplements.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
