Is Rising Of Blood Sugar Level Normal After Steroid Injection?

Hi there, I am 27 and pregnant and it was found that my cervix had started dilating so they gave me a steriod injection yesterday with one to follow today. I was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes about two weeks ago and have been controlling my gluclose through diet. However, after the inject, my BSL went up considerably. Is this normal?
