Is Rosacea Painful?

I have rosacea and sometimes when I have a flare up and I get pimples it really hurts. 2 days ago one started to form on my forehead and it gave me a migraine. Now I have one by my ear and I'm gettting shooting pain in that area. I am reading about rosacea but no one says it hurts.
