Is Sacroplasty An Effective Treatment For Sacral Insufficiency Fractures?

I have a fractured sacrum four weeks ago. I went to the emergency room and I was in a wheel chair for two week and am now on a walker I would like to know about sacroplasty and who would I see in Houston to consult about having this done. I am eighty five years old and in good health and good bones. This was from an accident on our deck not just a fall.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Since you are 85 years old it would be best to go for Sacroplasty as this will make you mobile earliest. This will avoid further complications of immobility in old age like calcium depletion, and debility related issues. Let mobility be the first issue.

This also gives you confidence in walking and daily activities. You have to ask your Primary care Physician about the best Surgeon who deals in this surgery and a proper care can make this surgery fruitful for you.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
