Is Scanty Blood Flow During Menstruation A Symptom Of Pregnancy?

I was due for aunt flow on August 27..got one tiny drip of AF on the 28..nothing happens on the other days just the normal cramping..on the evening of 31st of August more spotting but no actual full flow..I m usually a heavy flower..wondering if I may be pregnant..

Hello,

As you usually have heavy flow (which also must be examined), this time you have got less flow. There may be many causes for this. Firstly, there may be a pregnancy. In pregnancy, there may be little flow during implantation called as implantation bleeding. Or there may be other problems which should be investigated by imaging techniques and other diagnostic tests. So, I would like to give some tests along with asking some questions.

I would suggest some diagnostic tests:
1. Beta HCG
2. Complete Blood Tests
3. Lower Abdomen USG
4. Home Based Pregnancy Kit. (You can test your urine and can see within minutes whether your pregnancy is positive or not.)

I would like to ask you:
1. Are you taking any medicines?
2. Usually, is there too much pain during menstruation?
3. Currently, are you feeling pressure within your lower abdomen?
4. Is the blood clotted or bright red or dark?

If there is too much cramping, please take Dicyclomine (or Dicycloverine).
