Is Scanty Brown Vaginal Discharge Post Withdrawal From BC Pills Normal?

I recently come off birth control. I had unprotected sex but got plan b one step and took it an hour after it happened. I got my period 4 days later, but I only bled for one day and I barely bled at all really. it was only brown discharge and a little bit of blood. is this normal after coming off birth control or after taking plan b? I m very concerned.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
What brown discharge you have got after taking Plan B is not the actual bleeding what should have taken place. It is some form of discharge which has come out due to retained products of previous periods.
After taking Plan B, you need to get breakthrough bleeding in the form of your regular periods by 3 weeks from its intake.
In case this does not happen, you need to take urine pregnancy test and seek medical advise promptly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
