Is Scuba Diving Advisable Post Brain Surgery?

I had a brain aneurysm rupture over 20 years ago and had it clipped. I also have a shut from the back of my skull to my stomach for spinal fluid drainage(may not be needed now). I have had my skull opened from temple to behind the ear. Is it safe to go scuba diving?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Scuba diving is not advisable post brain surgery.
This is because, it always carries a risk of rupture of blood vessels due to the pressure created in various parts of the body while breathing under water.
Hence, it is advisable not to take such risk.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
