General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the severe pain in the back with numbness indicate possible nerve damage or compression from the vertebra injury.

* The symptoms are alarming to consult an ER and get an x-ray of the concerned region for best management and prevention of further damage.

* Primary relief with ice application and analgesic as Ibuprofen tablet, spray the area with diclofenac gel containing camphor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
