Is Severe Pain In The Knee A Symptom Of A Pinched Nerve?

I have had knee pain for a long time, runners knee, however this morning i woke up and I can t touch it without a lot of pain. Do you think it is a pinched nerve? It hurts to bend it, or cross my legs even if I don t touch my knee the pressure seems to make it give me a sharp pain right on the top of my knee.

Hello,

No, the pain you explained does not have a neurologic origin. You need a detailed clinical examination and probably an MRI to find out the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mirjeta Guni, Endocrinologist
