Is Severe Swelling In Left Abdomen A Sign Of Spleen Diseases?

Yes, my daughter is experiencing upper left abdominal swelling which is sensitive to touch. She is in college and has gone to a walk in clinic at the local hospital. I m concerned it may be her spleen. They have done blood work and an x-ray; waiting for results.

Thank you for your query. I understand your concern.
Yes,Upper left abdomen is normal place for spllen,so pain & swelling in the area do suggest spleen problem, as also.. it can be problem with bones ( ribs ), muscles, stomach ...
The blood work & X ray would help in diagnosis., followed by specific treatment by a gastroenterologist.
