Is Sexual Intercourse Advisable When Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer?

I have recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer (after biopsy). The findings were minor amounts of cells that are moderately aggressive. I have not selected a treatment option yet! My counseltation appt. is in two weeks. Should i avoid all sexual intercourse until then?

Hi & Welcome.

Yes, there is no harm in having sexual relations while being diagnosed to have prostate cancer.

Since having sex will not affect your cancer or the success of your treatment and the cancer does not pass on while having sex. It will also not alter the course of the disease nor it can lead to complications.

Hope this answers your query.
