Is Shingles A Recurrent Infection?

I had shingles on my forehead about 8 years ago, which was treated successfully by my dermatologist. I now notice itching and red spots on my back, where I have trouble seeing because it is in the middle of my upper back. Can a patient get shingles TWICE?

Hello,

No this is not a common event. I do not think there is a shingle again. Probably acne may be the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
