Hi, All your symptoms more indicating towards a case similar to acute bronchitis. As bronchitis is the inflammation of major bronchus mainly due to chronic smoking, Continuous inhalation of smoke, dust, fumes, genetic susceptibility and rarely due to alpha1 antitrypsin deficiency . All these condition make the respiratory tract more prone to acquire infection either bacterial or viral. As muco cilliary movement of tract become impaired a lot of sputum accumulate in the tract causing shortness of breath and feeling of something stuck in the throat. so , go for examination like total blood count, lung function test, chest x- ray PA view, sputum culture and sensitivity. consult a physician with test results. The doctor will prescribe you some specific antibiotics, bronchodilator like salbutamol/ salmeterol, anti-histaminic , corticosteroid inhaler. take rest and a lot of water intake. take care, bye.
