Is Slight Fever, Chills, Aching Muscles, Increased Phlegm Production Concerning?

Hello, I m punctually ill every December, never any other time of the year. Two years ago I ended up in hospital with an ear infection that caused me severe vertigo. I m scared it might be happening again, but I d rather save the trouble of going to my GP in case it s nothing. I ve got a slight fever, chills, aching muscles, my phlegm production has increased and orange dots have recently appeared, I might have felt slightly dizzy, but I can t confirm. Thanks for reading all of that and I d like to thank you in advance for this is a great, honest, helpful service you re offering. Yours sincerely, Anthony Sowerbutts.

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
From your symptoms, it seems to me me that you are having an acute upper respiratory tract infection. You may need a course of antibiotics. You could also try warm saline gargles, anti pyretics like paracetamol for relief from fever, chills and body ache.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
