Is Slimy, Yellowish Brown Area Around Cauterized Nose Normal?
I have recently went to get my most cauterized. It s now day 3 and it s looking less red around the white area. But it seems very slimey and a little yellowish brown around the area. I m wondering if that s normal or not? I ve been keeping bacterian on it 3 times a day and did have very minor trickle of blood around the area so I have also been using afrin to keep the veins skunk. No major bleeding or dripping though. But the wetness and sort of like puss in the area have me a little worried.

Thanks for your query.
The slimy condition is common in cauterized nose.Please do not try to remove it. Else it will bleed again. Continue using the bactroban ointment. Use can was the nose with nasal irrigation fliuds such as tonimer/ocean nasal spray.This will wash away the crusts and mucus.
You can continue Afrin nasal spary for 3-5 days.
