Is Slip Disc Causing Pins And Needles In My Leg And Foot?

Hi I got slip disc L4 L5, with constant pain. i started yesterday physiotherapy and since then i have had pins and niddles in my leg and foot. Why? What can I do? Can i still try to go to the gym and do some cross trainer to try to mantain a good fitness? Im so worried
