Is Smoking Marijuana Advisable To Relieve Chronic Body Pain?
I have chronic pain from a lifetime of sports and physically demanding job, construction....noticed awhile back that when I smoked a little weed at the end of a long day my body just relaxed to such a point that my pain was almost gone..is it possible this is a describable medical marijuana thing? Sure be easier if it were So... I am 51 not really a social guy so it s hit or miss getting weeds as needed...so much easier if doctor prescribed
It's near impossible to really tell. Normally, a drug is compared to a fake. If the fake does as well as the drug, then we say the drug doesn't do anything. HOWEVER, it is very hard to give cannabis without people knowing what they are getting (and the fake is pretty obvious).
So, many people think they are getting pain relief from cannabis, but we have nothing to compare that to.
Cannabis has a significant risk of giving people a bad reaction--mainly the first times it is used. There is also a significant risk of lung irritation or withdrawal symptoms keeping someone hooked.
