Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Soreness In The Pelvic Region Suggestive Of A Pinched Nerve?
I have moderate soreness on the outside of my left pelvic area at the location of my waistband of my running shonerts and the belt of my pants. It is not severe and can be calmed down by my taking 600mg ibuprofen. What could it be? Should I be concerned? Could it be caused by pinched nerves?
The pain in your left pelvic area is more probably caused by bowel disease rather than by pinched nerve. Constipation can also cause it or other large bowel diseases such as colitis. Try to avoid food that triggers it. Use antinflamatory drugs such advil or acetaminophen for pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
