Is Sound Therapy The Right Method Of Treatment For Severe Tinnitus?

I have severe tinnitus which around this time of the year it worsen, I could get very irritable, major headaches, pressure around my head and in my ears, not sure what over the counter medicine I should be taken since Ibuprofen, Alive, and other over the counter medicine makes it worst. I heard of sound therapy, right now I m open to any suggestions since this is taking over my life, I m completely drain physically and mentally, body aches, mood swings, sensitive to high noise. Please help.

Tinnitus may be due to different cause but treatment of the causative is the best treatment. So many medication are used but no one is effective. Masking therapy or sound that may dominate the tinnitus sound is useful.Many people have also benefited from tinnitus maskers, devices resembling hearing aids that play a sound more pleasant than the internal noise produced by the tinnitus. A newer device is a tinnitus instrument, which is a combination of hearing aid and masker. People frequently habituate many auditory sounds air conditioners, computer fans, refrigerators, and gentle rain, among them. What they have in common is that they have no importance, so they are not perceived as ''loud.'' Thus, the brain can screen them out. Still have queries please feel free to ask.
