General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in HCM.
After going through the semen analysis report, the following things can be inferred:
1. Semen volume is normal.
2. Sperm count of 4.2 million/ml is lower than normal as it should be 15 million/ml or more.
3. Even sperm motility is less than normal as active motile sperms in only 35% as compared to 60% or above.
This can happen as you have one one testicle. It is good to note that you are a non-smoker and do not consume alcohol.
Hence it could be concluded that the fertility index seems to be low. You can take medications containing L-carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, Vitamin E, Selenium, Zinc and Vitamin C for a month and see for the improvement.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
