Is Spotting And Bleeding After First Time Intercourse Normal?

hi i lost my virginity a little over a week ago, it hurt a little bit when my boyfriend was trying to go inside then i started to bleed so we decided to stop when he pulled out he was covered in blood, i was spotting very lightly for a couple of days, but on the third day i got my period, which was due in a week, is this normal? also will i bleed again next time i tried to have sex with my boyfriend? since the first time we really didnt do much cause i started to bleed.
