Is Spotting While On Primolut And Clomid Suggestive Of Periods?

Hi, I ve just been prescribed 10m of primolut and then clomid due to a lack of period after having my last baby and we want to try again. However I planned to start it next week but today I ve had spotting which occurred naturally. Could this be a normal period? Should I hold of taking the medication to see if my body will naturally ovulate or go ahead and continue the plan as prescribed?

The spotting can't be considered a normal period. Possibly the period will come soon. Being on primolut may have been causing a delayed period.
