Is Stiff Neck With Swollen Lymph Nodes Normal After Taking Steroid Injection For Slipped Disc?

I had a steroid injection for slipped disc in lower back. I have had a stiff neck now for 2 weeks with my lymphnodes swollen in my neck and low grade fever. My doctor did not seem concerned. I just want to feel well again. How long do the steroids stay in your system?
