Is Stomach Pain And Fatigue While Being Treated For Typhoid Normal?

my mother is about 51 years old. she is recuperating from typhoid. while the fever has gone away after taking the antibiotics prescribed, she continues to have stomach pains and body weakness. can u please advise what is the reason? she had sufferred two bouts of typhoid fever early on in her youth (about 30 years ago)
