Is Stomach Pain, Nausea With Cramps Only Symptoms Of Menses?

Hi, I am a 24 year old female. My stomach has been feeling terrible for the past 3 days. I am very nauseated but I never throw up. This is sometimes accompanied by sharp pains in my stomach as well. I couldn't even sleep last night because my stomach hurt so bad! I am due to start my period and have been having some cramps but nothing too terrible! Any clue what is going on?
