Is Stopping Of Cholesterol Medicines Advisable When Having Triglyceride Level Of 201?

i have a new doctor .... and she has asked that i stop taking lovastatin 20 mg..... which i did for the past 30 days .... the blood test was done two weeks after stopping the lovastatin.... the blood test shod total cholesterol 231 .... triglycerides 201 .. hdl 46 vldl 40 and ldl 145..... she has adv me that cholesterol pills are not needed .... i am 65 years old ... but in reading information on the internet it seems her information is not correct ..... what is your advice

your cholesterol level are in higher side. diet should be controlled and increase your physical activity.have regular morning walk.now you can take star tins.its good to give a break.
