Is Stress Causing Light Menses?

for the last two days i have had a sliht bleed not enough to call it a period but this evening I have had in want of a better way to decribe it period pains and a bright red blood discharge more than before this morning their was nothing I just thought as I have had this happen maybe once a year just a slight show of blood only really after wipeing when going to the loo . I have been under a lot of stress with my son and his heart problems and his wife has just had a baby only a few days old and I'm not sure if it's all tied up.
