Is Sudden And Strange Bleeding With Clots Post Periods A Cause For Concern?

So December 10th I got my normal period, and then a week later I had some weird bleeding with two clots for only one day, the three days after that it turned brown and my period was four days late. I took a pregnancy test a week after the bleeding the day I was supposed to get my period and it was negative and now I have a really light period, usually my first day is my heaviest day, and it hasn t been very clotted like normal.

Hi,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. Your symptoms and the menstrual pattern suggest that you could be experiencing some hormone disruption. Pregnancy seems to be unlikely in the current scenario. The clinical picture is more like a metropathic cycle, seen with hormone disturbances and usually corrected with progesterone supplements. You need a proper clinical appraisal by an expert, hormone profile and a sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route, blood counts and urinalysis. Please maintain proper genital hygiene. Take care.
