Is Sudden Severe Lower Abdominal Pain Suggestive Of Kidney Stone?

I am experiencing sudden pain in the lower regions of my abdomen just above my testicles. It feels like a kidney stone but I think it is to low for that. Could this be an inflamed bulbourethral gland? And how do I relieve this pain? I've had this happen on both the left and right sides over the past few days. I am scheduled for a renal ultrasound tomorrow, but the pain is rather intense right now.

Hi..Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes sudden severe lower abdominal pain can be due to kidney stone. however there may be other reasons like urinary tract infection, appendicitis, Intestinal pain, etc. Inflamed bulbourethral gland should not cause such sudden pain.
Kidney stone if there would be diagnosed by an ultrasound & may need treatment. In mean while you can take anti-inflammatory drug like keterolac, It will give you pain relief.
Refer to your physician for diagnosis & treatment plan

Don't worry you would be fine
Hope this information helps.
